I'm There You Are Here

   This is an individual final project for the class of “Interactive Product Design” in the first semester of the third year.In the project, I had an opportunity to research new technology and apply them to my project. I have observed that the design is not just limited to the product; there should also be sub-systems that would ease the usage of the product. In the project, the instructor asked us to design a device with respect to the relationship between grandparent and grandchild – child and I chose the relationship between grandfather and grandson. In this regard, I used the developing virtual reality technology on the purpose of having continuous family relations without getting lost in the complexity of technology. I focused on the fact that people who see each other only during holidays and for whom it would be difficult to spend time physically together. In this regard, I designed a goggle which would make it possible for these people to play games together. As a secondary task, this goggle “I’m There You’re Here” can also make health control by using supplementary technologies such as “bone conduction” and “pulse oximeter”
